YANMAR 4TNV98C Water cooled, 4 cycle diesel, 4 cylinders in line, direct injection, low emission engine with 65.1 HP (48.5 kW) at 2,400 rpm delivers more power and peak torque for a smooth operator experience. Maintenance has been simplified while offering an auto-regeneration feature that keeps the engine EPA certified, particulate matter clean, and the machine up and running. Features like this offer HX85A owners reduced operating costs through better fuel economy, better performance, and longer service intervals.

Boom Swing

The HX85A boom swing function is designed for efficient work in congested residential and urban areas. The boom can be offset left or right within an operating range. Plus, increased swing torque provides enhanced operating capability on the slope.

Dozer Blade

The HXA excavator features as standard equipment a large angled dozer blade that provides added versatility, efficiency, and stability. An optional 4-way angle dozer blade that moves up, down, left, and right is also available.

Compact Radius Swing

Compact-tail swing excavator allows you greater flexibility when working in narrow urban areas from an alley and indoor to residential and small gardens.

Monitor

The advanced new large 7" touch screen LCD cluster monitor allows the operator to select his personal machine preferences. Button selections are provided for auto idle shutdown mode, max power mode, and travel speed. The view from the optional rearview camera and a slope sensor can also be displayed on the monitor for additional operating safety and performance awareness. A security feature is also provided to prevent the machine from starting without a proper password.

Suspension Seat

The HX85A operator's cab is designed for a comfortable operating experience. An ergonomically designed suspension seat, adjustable armrests and a spacious environment helps to minimize operator fatigue.

Ergonomic Controls & Switches

The left and right control levers are ergonomically located for convenient access. Pilot operated hand levers are easily accessible for controlling the dozer blade and track extension. Easy-to-access control switches on the left side console improve operating comfort and productivity.

Cab Entry

A tiltable left-side console allows the operator easier access to the cab. A safety lock system is designed to prevent exiting the cab while hydraulic controls are live. When the safety lever and left side console are positioned upright, hydraulic functions are disengaged.

Hyundai compact excavators were designed with bushings designed for extended lube intervals (250 hrs) & polymer shims (wear-resistant, noise-reducing), extended-life hydraulic filters (1,000hrs), long-life hydraulic oil (5,000hrs), more efficient cooling systems and integrated preheating systems which extend service intervals, minimize operating costs and reduce machine downtime.

The HX85A was built with accessibility in mind. All covers and hoods were built for complete open access. Regular service and maintenance is easy and convenient with the HX85A.

Dual-lock quick coupler

The HX85A comes equipped with dual locking quick coupler that complies with the latest safety standards and improves the safety when using a coupler with various attachments.

Rearview Camera

Hyundai's HX85A is equipped with an optional full color, integrated rearview camera, viewable through the monitor. This feature keeps the operator aware of objects and personnel behind the machine and significantly reduces the opportunity for accidents.

Reinforced Cab Structure

Hyundai's HX85A is tested in accordance with stringent ISO standards. The cab features a reinforced steel pillar design that complies with TOPS (turn over protection system) and FOG (falling object guard) level 1 ISO standards.
